Overview

Lilly Pulitzer is a resort-chic, lifestyle brand that features bright, unique, and colorful prints. Lilly Pulitzer hired us to design and develop a mobile application to integrate into their existing digital, e-commerce ecosystem. The goal of the project was to release a v1.0 mobile application to increase revenue before their bi-annual sale, an event that usually crashes their website due to the high traffic.

Product Management Approach

During the development lifecyle for v1.0, I managed the product roadmap to ensure timely delivery of features and artifacts for release. I groomed the product backlog to prioritize features, stories, and bugs for the development team and design team. I also led the quality assurance management by testing features on Apple devices across sizes and software to debug the applications. I prioritized bugs in the backlog for upcoming sprints for the engineering team to address.

User Research is key

Lilly Pulitzer customers are passionate and enthusiastic about the the brand. Lilly Pulitzer invests in communicating with their customers to ensure customer satisfaction. Throughout the product development process, I worked with the team’s User Experience Designer to conduct interviews and usability tests with Lilly users. I used the findings and insights from these sessions to influence prioritization of features for the v1.0 and subsequent releases.

Outcome

Within the first three months of release, the Lilly Pulitzer v1.0 mobile application received a 4.6 star rating in App Store and increased revenue by 15%.
